Plain words on how this site handles your data, how the Observatory is made, and the terms for using the content.

This is the personal website of Gianluca Perdicaro, based in Miami, Florida, United States. I am responsible for any personal data collected here. To reach me about privacy, use the contact form on any page and write "Privacy" in your message.
I do not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or social media plugins. I do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone for marketing.
For visitors in the European Union and the United Kingdom: I process form messages on the basis of my legitimate interest in answering you, or to take steps you asked for before an agreement (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) and (b)). Hosting data is processed for the security and operation of the site (legitimate interest).
Form messages are stored by Netlify and forwarded to my email inbox. Both may be located in the United States. When data moves from the EU or UK to the US, it relies on the providers' standard contractual safeguards.
I keep messages for as long as our conversation is useful, and no longer than two years after the last exchange, unless you ask me to delete them sooner.
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data I hold about you, or object to its use. Write to me through the contact form. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
This site is meant for professionals and is not directed to children under 16.
This website sets no cookies and does not track you. Fonts and images are served from the site itself.
Videos are not loaded until you click play. When you do, the video opens through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube's own privacy policy applies. Links to LinkedIn, Substack, YouTube and other sites take you to services with their own policies.
The Observatory is run through AI. Each week, AI tools search a set of approved sources, summarize what moved, and write the briefs, the figures and the reading methods. Every item is dated and linked to its original source, so anyone can check it.
AI can make mistakes, and figures change when sources update them. Treat the Observatory as a starting point, not a final word: before you rely on a number, check it at the linked source.
The Observatory is for general information. It is not legal, financial, investment, immigration or other professional advice. Quotes and figures belong to their sources, which are not affiliated with this site and do not endorse it. Preliminary data is marked as preliminary.
If you spot an error, tell me through the contact form, and I will correct it and note the change.
